A 39-year-old Spring Hill man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 23 where he faces 16 charges including armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Police will allege that around 9.20pm on February 19, 2017 the 40-year-old driver of a ride sharing vehicle was threatened by a man armed with a firearm, on Leichhardt Street at Spring Hill.
The driver was not physically injured however his white sedan was stolen.
It will be further alleged that the vehicle failed to stop for police on Herston Road, Herston a short time later, with the car continuing to travel at speed, sideswipping two vehicles at the intersection of Newmarket and Lutwyche roads.
No one was physically injured as a result of the collision.
