Police have charged two boys following investigations into the alleged harassment and assault of a 34-year-old man in Chermside in December.
It will be alleged around 4.30pm on December 16, the local man was walking to Westfield Chermside when he was verbally harassed by a group of young people on Hamilton Road.
The man ignored the harassment and kept walking, however it will further be alleged he was pushed and shoved before he was punched in the face a number of times.
The man received medical treatment at the Prince Charles Hospital for lacerations, facial and jaw injuries.
Following a police appeal to members of the public, a person driving by captured the incident on dash cam footage and provided it to police.
Officers from Boondall Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) have since charged a 13-year-old Morayfield boy and a 14-year-old Stafford boy with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm in company.
