Update: Assault, Murrumba Downs

Petrie detectives have charged three men following the alleged violent assault of a taxi driver on Brisbane’s northside last night.
The driver was hailed by a group of five men on South Pine Road at Brendale around 7.25pm. He then drove them to Dohles Rocks Road, Murrumba Downs.
Two of the men exited the vehicle in Dohles Rocks Road with the other three remaining in the vehicle before it stopped further down the road.
The taxi stopped in the car park of a fast food restaurant where police will allege the driver was forcibly removed from the vehicle and punched and kicked, including to his head and face whilst he was on the ground.
Police, who had been alerted after the driver managed to send a distress signal, arrived to find two of the men allegedly standing over the unconscious driver. They were arrested at the scene with police providing immediate first aid to
