Wounding incident, Wavell Heights

Police have charged a man following investigations into an alleged wounding in Wavell Heights this afternoon.
At around 12:45pm two men, who were known to each to each other, became involved in an argument in the driveway of a home on Gamble Street.
It will be alleged during the argument one man has assaulted the other man, striking him with a machete.
Police attended the scene and took a man into custody without incident.
A 49-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening wounds to his arms and torso.
A 30-year-old Newmarket man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 27.
