Police from the West Gateway Patrol Group (Boondall, Carseldine and Stafford stations) would like to acknowledge the heart-warming support shown for slain officer Brett Forte and the Queensland Police Service in general since the officer’s murder.
To date the three stations have received over $1000 in donations towards the fund established to support Brett’s young family. There has been a steady stream of well-wishers attending police stations across the state, with many more donating online.
West Gateway Inspector Mark Jones said “Brett’s murder has had a profound impact our entire Police family, not just the officers but also their loved ones as his death drives home the dangers police face every day. But the public response and generosity has been very consoling for all of us and is very much appreciated.”
