On Thursday night, Boondall Police were kept busy after receiving several reports of unknown persons attempting to break and enter houses unlawfully within the Zillmere area.
One member of the public allegedly disturbed an unknown man while he was attempting to break into a garage, and was able to provide an excellent description of the man to the attending police.
Police then worked to form a cordon around the area, and with the assistance of a police dog, were able to detain a man matching the description supplied by the member of the public.
As a result, a 19-year-old Bracken Ridge man has been charged with unlawful entry of premises, and trespassing. He will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 29.
