Community reports of suspicious activity leads to multiple charges

Detectives from the North Brisbane Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man with a number of drugs,  property and weapons-related offences following an incident earlier this week.
On Tuesday, May 26, police received reports of a man slumped over the wheel of a car on the corner of Bilsen and Zillmere Road in Boondall.
Once police arrived on the scene, officers forced entry to the vehicle as concerns were held for the health and safety of the driver.
Police gained entry through the driver’s door of the vehicle and arrested the man, who by that time had gained consciousness.
The man received medical assistance.
While removing the man from the car, police allegedly observed a small black firearm in plain sight in the foot well area, close to the driver’s seat.
