Police from Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man of no fixed abode with eight property-related offences, including stealing and unlawfully entering a premises.
Police were called to reports of a house being broken into on Dwyer Street, Nundah and located the man nearby.
The man allegedly attempted to flee police but was caught after a quick foot chase.
Police will allege at the time of his arrest, he was in possession of property, including three tyres, stolen from a carpark in Nundah.
The man is set to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 14.
Investigations are also continuing into other similar offences in the Nundah area.
Police are reminding residents to be vigilant of building and vehicle security in multi-residential complexes.
This includes vehicles that are parked in large underground garages as they need to be locked upon departure with all valuables removed.
