Sergeant Jodie Murray and Marvelous Maria (a volunteer sewer from Uniforms 4 Kids) made a special delivery to the Mummy’s Wish headquarters at Banyo yesterday, December 19, with an array of outfits for the beautiful bears that are given to the children of mums who have been diagnosed with cancer.
These bears are extra special as they have a voice recorder inside that the mum can record a special message for their children to listen to when they are not there for them.
Delivering the bears.
The majority of the clothes made for the bears are made from donated old police uniforms that Maria then re purposes with donated fabric to make into bear clothes.
Each bear that is sent out as part of a care package has an outfit and also a letter explaining the story behind the clothes.
