On Sunday, October 13, police from Carseldine Police Station and the North Brisbane Crime Prevention office hosted a Coffee with a Cop event for the first time in the Aspley Homemaker Centre.
Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) groups form Carseldine were also in attendance.
The Coffee with a Cop initiative is a great opportunity for local community members to ask police any questions they have about issues that are important to them or happening in the area.
On this occasion, police were able to answer questions about hooning and traffic related matters in the local area.
There was also a particular interest in how police prioritise the jobs that they attend and what local NHW groups do in the area.
The North Brisbane Crime Prevention Unit have several more Coffee with a Cop events planned for October, including:
Wednesday, October 16 from 9.30am – 10.30am at Leo’s IGA (Racecourse Road, Hendra)
