Police arrested and charged three people after an alleged stolen vehicle was driven dangerously on Brisbane’s southside overnight.
A 4WD, stolen from a Seven Hills home in the early hours of December 11, was sighted by police in the Hamilton area around 8.30pm before officer’s lost sight of the vehicle.
Around 11pm police were called to Hipwood Road, Hamilton regarding two males acting suspiciously, and around 11.20pm the stolen 4WD was spotted by a member of the public in Lynell Street, Hamilton.
Police attempted to intercept the stolen 4WD in a Griffith Road, Nathan carpark around 11.50pm with it allegedly failing to stop, narrowly avoiding a tyre deflation device and speeding off.
Polair tracked the vehicle relaying information to patrolling police. Police will allege the vehicle, containing three people, drove at high speed, through red lights and at times on the wrong side of the road, through several suburbs.
