On Sunday, February 23, uniform police from Sandgate intercepted a vehicle that was parked with the engine running at the intersection of Morgan Street and Aston Close in Brighton.
It will be alleged that the male driver appeared to be asleep, or under the influence of an unknown substance, at the time of interception.
Police conducted a search of the vehicle with the assistance of a police dog, and allegedly located numerous clip sealed bags containing clear crystals, and green leafy material.
A 26-year-old Kurwongbah man was arrested and charged with several counts of possession of a dangerous drug and numerous traffic related offences.
The man will appear in Sandgate Magistrates Court on April 20.
