North Brisbane officers awarded at Neighbourhood Watch conference

On Saturday, November 2, the annual conference for Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Queensland was held in Towoomba where police and Neighbourhood Watch community members gathered to attend the annual awards ceremony, coupled with a day of learning from numerous guest speakers.

Police from North Brisbane are extremely proud to come home with two awards:

Senior Constable Carol Spurdle from Hendra Crime Prevention won the Liaison Officer of the Year award for the North Brisbane District
Mrs Katherine Bourke, who is the area coordinator for Hendra NHW group won the Community Member of the Year for the North Brisbane District

Assistant Commissioner Brett Schafferius said the award winners went above and beyond to work in partnership with the QPS and their community members.
“I am very pleased that we are able to formally recognise and congratulate our fellow officers and community members for their good work and long-term commitment to the Service and NHWQ,” Assistant Commissioner Schafferius
