North Brisbane’s worldly women event

On Saturday November 2, the final of our 2019 quarterly ‘Worldly Women Meet, Greet and Eat Afternoon’ events was held.
Theses events are such a huge success due to the collaboration of community groups that work together to ensure that this event is accessible for all members of our North Brisbane community.
The event provides an opportunity for women to come together to promote support, friendship and harmony through sharing of food, and dancing.
Many of the women who attend this event are either newly arrived to Queensland and are from a large range of CALD backgrounds.
At this latest event, there were women from Australia, Iran, Iraq, Samoa, Fiji, Columbia, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, India, Pacific Islands, and South Sudan.
For Queensland Police members who attend, it is a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships women who may not have had positive interactions with police in the past. It also provides a
