North Brisbane Police have joined the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver a series of Keeping Seniors Safe presentations to seniors within the Gateway Patrol Group area.

The latest presentation was held at Wheeler on the Park in Chermside.
Both the QPS and TMR covered a number of different topics related to the safety of senior people in our community.
QPS covered:
Elder Abuse: The number of reported elder abuse cases has increased, so new laws have been introduced to protect older people from emotional, psychological, financial, physical or sexual abuse or neglect.
Senior Safety: The QPS recognises the valuable role that senior Queenslanders play in our community and their right to safety and a lifestyle without fear.
