On Saturday, September 14, the Gateway Crime Prevention team along with Police Liaison Officers Tony and Moria participated in the 17th annual Zillmere Festival, ‘One Place Many Cultures.’
Zillmere is often referred to as the ‘multi-cultural hub’ of North Brisbane, and this festival served as an opportunity for the Queensland Police Service (QPS) to engage with the diverse cultural groups that make up the community.
The event was filled with cultural performances and displays, delicious traditional dishes from a variety of nations, and local community groups showcasing their business goods and services.
The marked police vehicle QPS had on display was a hit, young boys and girls were lined up throughout the day to try on police uniforms and sit in the police car.
This festival is always a highlight for the Gateway Patrol Group.
QPS are holding a free event at the Zillmere PCYC on September 21 called Bringing Cultures Together from 11am to
