Boondall Police Officer In Charge Senior Sergeant Damien Houston is asking residents to be vigilant with their home and vehicle security and to report suspicious activity following a number of property offences over the weekend.
Offences have included unlawful entry of motor vehicles (UEMV) which had been left unlocked in unit car parks and on the street, a stolen motorbike from a secure unit car park, unlawful entry by forcing a garage door open and subsequent tools and property stolen from construction site, and number plates stolen from vehicles and subsequently used on other vehicle to commit offences undetected.
The majority of these offences occurred during the evening and overnight from Saturday to Sunday and over half of all of these property offences occurred in the suburbs of Chermside and Wavell Heights.
