Queensland Women’s Week: Celebrating North Brisbane women in policing

North Brisbane Police are celebrating Queensland Women’s Week 2020 by profiling some of the strong, diverse women in policing from across the district.
Our first female in focus for the week is Sergeant Stacey Bach from the Brisbane Forensic Crash Unit (FCU), based at Boondall Police complex.

Can you tell us about what your current job role is in the QPS, and a summary of your career?
Prior to my service in the QPS, I was studying accounting. After completing work experience in this area, I found that this was not a career that I wanted to pursue.
At the time my brother was a New South Wales Police Officer and I decided that might be a good place for me to find a career I did enjoy.
In 1999, at 20-years-old, I found myself at the academy. I volunteered for
