North Brisbane Police are celebrating Queensland Women’s Week by profiling some of our strong, diverse women in policing from across the district.
Our fourth female in focus for the week is Police Liaison Officer (PLO) Amanjot Sharma, who is based at Boondall Police Station.
Police Liaison Officer Amanjot Sharma bridges the gap between police and communities in North Brisbane
Can you tell us about what your current job role is in the QPS, and a summary of your career?
I work as a Police Liaison Officer in North Brisbane. My job is to bridge the gap, strengthen relationships and build trust between police and my community.
Before joining the QPS, I worked with early childhood centres in Australia and with recruitment organisations in India.
I spend a large amount of time working with those impacted by domestic and family violence, and the layers of complexity that cultural issues can add to domestic violence.
