On Wednesday, October 16, the Gateway Mutual Aid Group (GMAG) hosted its annual poster judging for the 2020 Community, Safety and Environment calendar.
The Officer in Charge of Hendra Police Station, Senior Sergeant Leonie Scott, is committed to continue to build strong partnerships with industry stakeholders by attending regular committee meetings.
She also gets actively involved in discussions to assist in preventing incidents and mitigating potential impact to life, property, the community and the environment in the event of a major emergency.
The primary objective of this collective Gateway Mutual Aid Group was to ensure that a pool of resources can be readily available to assist police and emergency services in combatting a major emergency on an industrial site within the Hendra Policing Division.
Every year, this industry group coordinates and promotes greater community awareness of safety messages by asking six local primary schools to participate in the publishing of a local calendar.
