Thank You to our Volunteers in Policing

During National Volunteers Week, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our amazing Volunteers in Policing (ViPs) for their dedication to the Service and to the community.
National Volunteers Week runs from May 18 to 24 and this year’s theme is Changing Communities. Changing Lives. – and our volunteers certainly do that.
Within the Gateway Patrol Group we have nine wonderful ViPs who generously give up their time to perform a variety of tasks, some of which are not very glamorous, like letter box drops in the middle of summer.

In general, tasks performed by the ViPs assist police to deliver a range of services designed to reduce crime and to help people feel safe.
