For three days this week between October 16 and October 18, the Allan Border Fields at Albion was host to elite athletes hitting it for six and competing in the INAS Global Games – T20 Australia vs England Cricketing Comp.
The INAS Global Games is the world’s biggest sports event for athletes with an intellectual impairment. Games to date have been fuelled with fierce competition and a real sense of patriotic spirit, but after day two, England seem to be proving hard to beat.

With an international line up of athletes playing on home grounds, Hendra Police were detailed to provide a strong security presence for this three day event.
So if in the area, you would have seen officers from Hendra performing patrols of the grounds and car parking surrounds, so that sporting events like these can continue with no disruption to this international sporting event.
