For years, members and visitors to Virginia United Football Club in Nundah have had to deal with a subpar entrance and driveway. But those days are now in the past thanks to a recent car park improvements project.

The recently completed project included a comprehensive overhaul of the driveway and parking areas. A total of 16 formalised parking spaces were created, with new pavement, concrete, and turf installed throughout. Highly visible yellow ‘No Stopping’ lines were painted, and a new double swing gate was installed at the entrance.
“For some time now we have been looking for the opportunity to improve the entry point and driveway at Virginia United Football Club in Nundah,” said Cr Adam Allan. “Not that long ago we were able to provide the club with significant support for the construction of a new clubhouse and this has been welcomed by members.”
The upgrades extended all the way to Nudgee Road, with the driveway crossover receiving much-needed improvements as well. Chain wire fencing was removed to open up the area.
