Keeping Chermside safe for everyone these holidays

Brisbane North Police are keeping up their visual presence and positive engagement with the thousands of people that attend Westfeild Chermside during the school holidays.
For the second week running uniform staff, Crime Prevention Officers, Volunteers In Policing, and Detectives from the Boondall Child Protection Unit, along with the support of many other QPS sections have been ensuring that everyone is on their best behaviour.
Local officers were extremely happy with the dramatic decrease in the number of crimes committed in the area in comparison with the same time last year.
Members of the community were also given the opportunity to engage with many members of the QPS, to ask questions, and even have a seat in a marked police vehicle.
Police would like to thank the community for their support, and for the excellent strong relationship that QPS have with Westfeild Chermside Security.
The QPS continues to strive towards:

Stopping crime;
Making the community safer; and
Strengthening

Spread the love
