Thanks to all those who attended yesterdays summer safety expo at the Nudgee Boat Ramp!
We hope you enjoyed the displays and advice you received from all the exhibitors including the Volunteer Marine Rescue boats, SES boat, QPS including the water police and dive squad units and not to mention the displays from Maritime Safety Queensland, Queensland Fisheries, the yummy free sausages and delicious free coffee!
Lots of conversations were had about the importance of fitting vessels with the appropriate safety equipment, particularly the necessity of life jackets, to ensure your trip out on the waterways is safe as well as lots of fun!
Thank you to the Disaster Management team from Brisbane City Council for being on hand to discuss all things related to a Queensland Summer Season – including bush fire, storm and flooding preparedness.
Again thanks to all who attended – stay safe this summer!
