Our next female in focus for the week is Detective Senior Constable Michelle Morgan from the North Brisbane Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU), based at Boondall Police complex.

Can you tell us about what your current job role is in the QPS, and a summary of your career?
The function of the Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) is to provide a specialist policing response to children and their families.
Our specialist training is nationally recognised and allows officers to assist protecting children up to the age of 18, investigate child abuse, both physical and sexual, record evidence by way of child interviews to a standard sufficient to be admissible in a court of law and also to deal with juvenile offenders, adopting diversionary
