Operation Hendra Reduce already seeing results

Operation Hendra Reduce has recently commenced within the Hendra Policing Division.
The operation has seen an additional 10 police officers join Hendra Police Station as part of a Tactical Crime Squad (TCS),  targeting property crimes including break and enter to homes and businesses and stealing of motor vehicles.
The crew is concentrating on high visibility patrols and targeted policing activities.
In the past week, this operation has seen proceedings commenced against 31 individuals on 78 charges including drug matters, unlawful use of motor vehicles and property offences.
This includes a 24-year-old Strathpine man who has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Whilst the vehicle in question was stolen from Gordon Park, investigations by the TCS located two motorbikes which were stolen from within the Hendra Police Division as well as the stolen vehicle.
The man will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 23, to have the matter heard.
