North Brisbane police are celebrating Queensland Women’s Week by profiling some of our strong, diverse women in policing from across the district.
Our next female in focus for the week is Senior Constable Jan Gooch from State Intelligence, Boondall (Property Team), based at Boondall Police complex.
Can you tell us about what your current job role is in the QPS, and a summary of your career?
I currently perform the role of Intelligence Officer, attached to the Gateway Crime Team, focusing on Property Crime. I am coming up to 19 years with the QPS and have worked in Toowoomba, Charleville, Townsville and Brisbane, performing roles in General Duties, Tactical Crime Squad, Coronial Support and now, Intelligence.

What do you love about your job, and what is something that challenges you?
I love that my job enables me to assist investigators and first response officers
