Yarning about aged care, Zillmere

Yesterday, staff from the North Brisbane Crime Prevention Unit, Volunteers in Policing (ViP’s) and Police Liaison Officer (PLO) Moria joined numerous community and support groups to provide information to local Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander community members about aged care services available.

QPS had a focus on providing information on the following topics:

Senior safety;
Elder abuse and;
Home and vehicle security.

Did you know that if you are an Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander person aged 50 years or older, there are government funded aged care services available for you?

The North Brisbane Crime Prevention Unit look forward to strengthening the connections with our Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander community members, especially the Elders, many of which were present for the day.
